Sept 21st Farm Update

September 19, 2021September 26, 2021 Flip Filippi

Farm Happenings The average last frost date in Canton is September 20th. Until there is a hard freeze, we will have beans, tomatoes, eggplants, hot peppers, basil and a couple other sensitive crops. While the hard frost marks a change, there’s still much to look forward to in October including an incredible crop of carrots Continue reading

“You can never have too many onions,” is a favorite saying of Bob’s when we’re deep in winter planning for the coming growing season. That’s good to hear because we had our best harvest ever this year! The crop is a staple ingredient in kitchens around the globe, so it ties into an amazing range Continue reading

Farm Happenings It’s great to have the garlic harvest complete, thanks to all the shareholders who joined us in making the process smooth and fun. We pruned the jungle of cherry tomatoes this week, and when the warmth returns in the coming weeks, the cherry and slicing tomatoes will begin to ripen. One night last Continue reading
