Why littleGrasse? Member testimonials
The farm offers us a special connection to our food. For us it’s always been about our belief in Flip and Bob and their mission of sustainable local agriculture. But equally important to us is having intimate knowledge of what goes into the production of our food and having the opportunity to be directly involved in the process, at whatever level we choose. -David
Too many reasons to list! We like that it’s local, close-by, fresh, yummy, good for environment, supports local farms, good value, teaching my kids about where their food comes from, no chemicals, fun community, enjoy the time spent outdoors and in the garden… -Jenny
It feels good to support local produce and people you believe in. – Tom

littleGrasse Foodworks was started by Bob & Flip in 2009. They both are passionate about creating a vibrant farm for all ages with fresh food and many opportunities for community engagement & learning too. During the growing season, there’s an abundance of folks around the farm participating in a host of ways. There’s many more people who spend time and energy making the landscape a fun and interactive place to be.
Flip grew up on a homestead in DeKalb, tending a garden and some livestock with her family. After a decade away from the area soaking up ideas in school and in the field (literally), she was excited to return to the North Country where loving family and open space is abundant. She is an actively engaged in the community beyond the farm in her role as Local Foods Program Leader at Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Bob grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania. He arrived in the Canton-area after diverse experiences in farming and natural foods in Colorado and Maine. He has been dedicated to the Community Supported Agriculture movement since the mid- 90’s when he helped start a community farm on the Front Range that is still going strong.
