Fall Storage Pickup Friday

The Fall Storage share is a common complement to our Fresh share. The distribution takes place AFTER weekly distribution ends. This is a manageable addition to extend the availability of local vegetables in our shareholders kitchens. The veggies included vary slightly each year, depending on the harvest, but there are some signature veggies we work hard to include, since they are common staples in the north country kitchen.

Plan to take 10-15 minutes to gather together your share. Some items will be pre-weighed and already bagged, such as carrots and onions, whereas other items you will be weighing on your own or choosing the varieties you prefer, such as potatoes. There is a great bounty of winter squash and pie pumpkins, so they will be available on an unlimited basis. Whatever your family is able to use of them, please grab lots! That is the true spirit of ‘sharing the bounty,’ inherent in CSA and we are fortunate to have such a healthy harvest. There was very poor germination on the parsnips, so we do not have those to offer this season. We will have bags and cardboard boxes available for loading in your items. Let us know if you have any questions.
