As the you pick season is zipping up for the season, we’ll reduce our weekly updates to monthly emails. We’ll share the musings at the homestead and you’ll be the first to hear when our CSA information is announced for 2021!

We will not be hosting our annual Swap It! Community Trading Event customarily taking place the first week of November. While we love everything about this

tradition, it’s whopping success last year entailed a cozy barn full of people, food and close conversation. This event will return- we promise.

Hooray, the greens have held strong through the end of the share. For those that enjoy the tangy types, check out the new tender bed of arugula along with vibrant red mustard greens. Since those first frosts in mid-September that killed the tomatoes and other hot crops, there hasn’t been a frost since.

If you are tempted to let others in the community know about your experience with littleGrasse, consider leaving a review online, such as Google Business or @littlegrassefoodworks on Facebook. We have never solicited this type of input, but we realize the internet is how many people first research farm posibilities. It’s time for us to be more visible and we appreciate your insight.

Tips for Success

  • The 8 O’clock Ranch freezer will be operational through Sunday, November, 1st. This is the week to stock up on cuts from the freezer.

    Red Kuri

  • There’s a few Pennsylvania Crookneck squash in the share room. While their size is daunting for a weeknight meal, they’d be perfect for a holiday feast and should easily store until Thanksgiving. The red kuri is a more manageable size and known for its nutty favor.
