Scallions

General Info
Scallions are in the allium family with onions and garlic. The entire plant is edible raw or cooked. We generally plant two successions and are able to harvest it before the main onion harvest and again afterwards in the fall.

Storage
Enclose the entire plant or bunch of plants in a bag in the fridge. This is more effective than placing their roots upright in a glass of water in the fridge as this leads to the green tops wilting first and becoming less useable.
