General Info
Varieties We Grow
Fresh (for short-term storage): Ailsa Craig, Spanish Sweet, Red River
Storage (for long-terms storage): Copra, Stuttgart, Red Zeppelin
Storage
Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid sprouting. Store in mesh or paper bags, or a basket. Do not store in plastic bags, this does not allow the onions to ‘breath,’ and it gathers humidity which leads to quicker deterioration. They may last several months in 60-70 degree space with medium humidity. Extremes of cold or heat will shorten their storage capacity.
