Harvest Window: July through September
General Info
We plant 3-4 successions of beans each season. We can harvest from each planting reliably for two weeks, then production drops off such that it is not enough for a distribution. They are a popular, familiar crop for most people, but are one of our most labor intensive vegetables to grow. The bean picking takes time! That said, a fresh bean is delicious raw or cooked and can pep up many a summertime meal.
Varieties We Grow
Jade, Provider, Yellow Wax, Royal Burgundy
Storage
Make sure they are dry before going in the fridge. Enclosed in a bag or container in the fridge are best eaten within a week.
